Spiegelberg, Rosanne

Rosanne E. Spiegelberg died peacefully Wednesday, November 13, 2013, at Appleton Medical Center, with her family by her side.

She was born April 3, 1954, in New London, daughter of the late Raymond G. and Elaine E. (Buchholz) Spiegelberg. Rosanne grew up on a dairy farm by Bear Lake (near Manawa). She was baptized into the Christian faith; attended St. Paul’s Lutheran School, Manawa and was confirmed May 5, 1968. Rosanne was a 1972 graduate of Little Wolf High School, Manawa. She was employed at AAL/Thrivent from August 1972 until the time of her death. Rosanne enjoyed shopping for treasures with her sister, reading, traveling, watching sports on TV and spending time with family. Rosanne was diagnosed with inflammatory breast cancer in 2009 and endured more than anyone should ever have to with grace, courage, humor and a positive attitude.

She is survived by her sister, Jane (Steve) Plamann, Appleton; brother Stephen Spiegelberg, Manawa; niece and God-child, Andrea (Kevin) Spiegelberg Vodicka and baby girl due in December, Milwaukee; niece, Michelle Kampo (Scott Meyer) and Sophie, Menasha; niece, Jessica (Andrew) Hose, Gavin, Elijah and Dominick, Coon Rapids, MN; niece, Rachel (Matt) Spang, Ryden and Jaden, Neenah; aunt Morjorie Buchholz, Waupaca; aunt Dorothy Buchholz, Weyauwega; uncle Vilas Spiegelberg, Manawa; aunt Doris Roth, Neenah; other relatives and friends. Rosanne was preceded in death by her parents, grandparents, Fred and Ella (Zabel) Buchholz and Arnold and Laura (Beckman) Spiegelberg and her cat, Angel.

Funeral services for Rosanne will be held on Saturday, November 16, 2013, at 11:00 a.m. at St. John Lutheran Church, (N3505 St Hwy 47) Appleton; Rev. Micah Martin will be officiating. Visitation will be held at the church on Saturday from 9:00 a.m. until the time of service. Burial will be in the Baldwin’s Mill Cemetery, Town of Royalton. Special thanks to Dr. Guenther, Nancy, Jen and the wonderful staff at the Martha Siekman Center; Dr. Krueger, Kobi and the staff at the Radiation Oncology Center; the staff on 7th floor/oncology at Appleton Medical Center, Curt and the rest of the volunteers.
