Lavern Cady, age 77 of Iola, passed away, Monday, November 18th, 2013 at Riverside Medical Center in Waupaca, WI.
Lavern was born on June 16, 1936, in the Town of Dayton, the son of Harold and Ella (Lucht) Cady. Lavern married Shirley Mae Mary Martin on May 5, 1956 in Waupaca, WI. Lavern worked for Neenah Foundry for 27 years. He enjoyed the outdoors, bow hunting, fishing, gun hunting, cutting wood, gardening and was an avid duck hunter.
Lavern is survived by his wife, Shirley of Iola, WI; children: Bruce (Barb) Cady of Ogdensburg, WI, Sandra Cady of Iola, WI, Lisa (Jim) Piasecki of Rhinelander, WI; sister, Mardell (John) Boehm of New London, WI; brother, Arden; Lavern’s fishing buddy (Beverly) Cady of Ogdensburg, WI; grandchildren: Jennifer Garton, Tim Cady, Brett Cady, Joshua Cady, and Jordan Jaensch; great-grandchildren: Ariana Garton, Sierra Garton, Brynn Garton, Jayden Cady; also many other nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Lavern is preceded in death by his parents; infant brother, Roland; brothers, Lowell, Lyle, Wilmer, and Charlie; grandson, Justin Jaensch.
