William J. “Bill” Allard was called home by his Lord on Friday, December 13, 2013, and will enjoy much deserved peace and comfort for all eternity.
He was born in Milwaukee, WI on 3 July 1942 to William “Chum” and Evelyn Bonesho Allard. He was their only child. He was a sports fan and athlete from the time he could walk. He graduated from Pius Catholic High School where he was an excellent student and star athlete. He graduated from Colorado State University for whom he played baseball. One of Bill’s proudest times while in college was being invited by the Milwaukee Braves to work out with them during their major league Spring Practice. He served in the U.S. Air Force and was a Vietnam Veteran. After graduating with a degree in business, Bill worked in accounting for various firms while earning the CPA accreditation. During much of his career he served as chief financial officer for a major insurance general agency, with its major offices in Milwaukee and Chicago.
Bill was married in 1961, and is survived by 7 children. He was preceded in death by his parents. While Bill suffered from failing health for several years prior to his death, his very strong faith continued to comfort him and add to the pleasure of knowing him.
A funeral service for Bill will be held at 11:00 a.m. on December 19, 2013, at Wisconsin Veterans Home-Olson Hall Chapel (N2665 Cty Hwy QQ, King, WI) with Sister Cathy Wottreng officiating. Assisting the family is the Borchardt & Moder Funeral Home, Hortonville.
