Daniel R. Wetzel Jr., 28, Waupaca, is charged with two counts of possession of narcotics and one count each of possession of an illegally obtained prescription drug, felony and misdemeanor bail jumping.
Wetzel has been charged as a repeat offender due to prior felony drug-related convictions dating back to 2005. Most recently, Wetzel was convicted on delivery charges of psilosin (a psychodelic) and narcotics in February 2012. He spent a year in jail.
On Dec. 10, 2013, Wetzel was charged with multiple drug-related offenses and released on a $2,500 signature bond with the condition that he not possess any illegal drugs.
On Dec. 28, deputies Nick Traeger and Bryan Strobusch reported finding prescription drugs in Wetzel’s vehicle after making a traffic stop on County Road E in the town of St. Lawrence.
