Three players in double figures helped the Iola-Scandinavia boys’ basketball team pick up a Central Wisconsin 8 Conference win Feb. 14 at Manawa.
The Thunderbirds also picked up recent CWC-8 wins over Amherst and Wittenberg-Birnamwood.

MANAWA – The T-Birds led 20-12 after one quarter, 36-24 at halftime and 53-37 after three quarters before outscoring the Wolves 18-12 over the final eight minutes.
John Prahl led the T-Birds with 18 points, while Kristian Welch and Alec Lund finished with 14 and 11, respectively.
I-S 53, Amherst 36
IOLA – I-S converted 18 of 22 free throws in a win Feb. 11 over the Falcons, while Amherst hit only three of 17.
The T-Birds led 17-8 after one quarter, 25-17 at halftime and took a 38-27 lead into the fourth quarter.
Evan Fuhs led the T-Birds with 13 points, while Prahl added 12, Welch chipped in with 11 and Braiden Garbe scored 10.

WITTENBERG – Welch and Connor Lodewegen led the T-Birds with 18 and 10 points, respectively.
The T-Birds traveled to Mosinee Feb. 18 for a nonconference game with Wisconsin Valley Lutheran. I-S will host Weyauwega-Fremont at 7:30 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 20, before wrapping up the regular season at 7:30 p.m. Friday, Feb. 21, with a rescheduled home game with Manawa.
