The First Thursday Film Series at the Waupaca Area Public Library will feature a classic western at 1:30 p.m. Thursday, March 6.
Based on a well-known short story by Elmore Leonard, this 1957 film stars Glenn Ford as a wanted outlaw and Van Heflin as his nervous captor. Felicia Farr provides the love interest for Ford in a taut adventure directed by Delmer Daves.
The movie was so successful that it was remade 50 years later with Russell Crowe and Christian Bale in the two key roles.
Dr. Jack Rhodes will introduce the movie. Admission, popcorn and other theater treats are free.
