Waupaca County authorities are investigating two separate reports of dead animals found along two roads.
According to the Waupaca County Sheriff’s Department, a deputy responded March 21 to a report of multiple animals with their heads missing along Madden Road, south of Island Road, in the town of Lebanon.
The heads were missing from the animals, including a deer, and four chickens and had been frozen in the snow for some time. Wild animals likely dismembered the deer, according to law enforcement.
The department later received a report of domesticated ducks and geese found dead along Marsh Road in the town of Royalton.
Both cases are under investigation.
