Waupaca ends trickle notice

The city of Waupaca asked all water customers to stop running water from their faucets as of Monday, April 14.

Warmer outdoor air temperatures have reduced the frost depth to allow for this suspension.

Water and sewer utility bills due in March through May are being billed according to each customer’s average usage from the Oct. through Dec. 2013 billings.

This is being done so that customers will not have to pay any additional costs for running the water trickle. Billing will go back to actual usage starting with the water and sewer bill due June 20.

Even with the city water trickle order in effect this winter more than 100 water services in the city froze up.

Residents who have any questions or concerns regarding this matter or their billing should contact City of Waupaca Water Utility at 715-258-4422 or John Edlebeck, director of public works and city engineer, at [email protected] or 715-258-4420.
