Johnny Popham struck out 14 batters April 21 to lead Waupaca to an 8-0 Eastern Valley Conference win over Clintonville.
Popham also held the Truckers to three hits while coming up with two of Waupaca’s 10 hits and driving in three runs.
Waupaca scored twice in the first inning before adding a run in the fourth and five more in the fifth.
Zander Neuville and Alex Grall each had three hits for Waupaca.
Turner Doornink took the loss for Clintonville.
The two teams met again April 22 at Clintonville’s Olen Park.
