Waupaca Park and Rec logo contest

The city of Waupaca’s Parks and Recreation Department is a bit closer to having a logo.

Voting is under way at http://cityofwaupaca.org/pView.aspx?id=7937 to choose a logo for the department.

People may click on that link and vote for one of the nine designs that were submitted.

“It’s open to anybody,” Andrew Whitman, the city’s recreation program supervisor, said of the voting. “One vote per person per day.”

Contest entries were due last Friday, April 18, and voting will end at 4 p.m. Friday, May 9.

“We appreciate those who submitted designs,” Whitman said. “It was nice to have a variety of all kinds. Some are more sports themed, and some are more outdoors themed. There’s lot of good choices. We want something that peole will see and think and park and rec right away.”

The winning design will be announced on the city’s website and in the Waupaca County Post.
