Iola-Scandinavia’s baseball team rebounded from its first loss of the season with a Central Wisconsin 8 Conference win over Stevens Point Pacelli.
The Thunderbirds handed the Cardinals a 4-3 defeat April 25 after Bonduel defeated I-S 8-3 April 22.

STEVENS POINT – The Cardinals opened the scoring with a run in the bottom of the first inning, but the T-Birds came back with two in the second and one in the third to take a 3-1 lead. Pacelli cut the lead in half with a run in the fifth, but I-S scored again in the sixth.
The Cardinals loaded the bases in the bottom of the seventh with one out, but only scored once.
I-S outhit the Cardinals 9-4 and Pacelli also committed five errors. Nate Korb got the win on the mound and Cam Gruenwald picked up the save.
Gruenwald and Hunter Gruenwald each had a double for the T-Birds.

IOLA – Connor Rosin had two hits to lead the Bears over the T-Birds.
Connor Lodewegen took the loss on the mound. He give up eight runs on eight walks and five hits.
