Spring Cruise Car Show results

Unseasonably cool temps and the possibility of rain didn’t hinder the participation in this year’s Spring Cruise Car Show, held Friday, May 16, in Clintonville.

Around 170 vehicles lined Main Street and were on display for spectators to view.   

Judging took place in 15 categories. Three choice awards were also given out.

Categories and winners included:
Class A: Featured Vehicles – 1955, 1956, 1957 Chevys: First place – Mark and Lana Dittmann, Shawano, 1955 Chevrolet Handyman Wagon; Second Place – Larry Heise, White Lake, 1955 Chevrolet Bel Air.

Class B: Autos & Trucks from 1900-1949: First Place – Bill Gardafee, Embarrass, 1940 Studebaker Commander; Second Place – William Hupke Jr., Combined Locks, 1925 Dodge.

Class C: Autos from 1950–1963: First Place – Dean O’Connell, Green Bay, 1960 Cadillac Coupe de Ville; Second Place – Bill Novak, Antigo, 1955 Mercury Montclair.

Class D: Autos from 1964 to 1973: First Place – Scott Buckarma, New London, 1967 Dodge Coronet 500; Second Place – Curt Swosinski, Clintonville, 1966 Pontiac Bonneville.

Class E: Autos 1974-1989: First Place – Bob Van Grinsven, Clintonville, 1974 Cadillac Deville; Second Place – Dave Sprenger, Embarrass, 1988 Chevrolet  Monte Carlo.

Class F: Autos from 1990-Present: First Place – Kathy Dins, Clintonville, 2011 Chevrolet SS Camaro; Second Place – Dave DeBruin, Appleton, 2010 Dodge RT.

Class G: Trucks from 1950-1973: First Place – Tom Schneidewend, Clintonville, 1958 Chevrolet Apache; Second Place – Don & Betty Sedo, Clintonville, 1950 Ford Pickup.

Class H: Trucks from 1974-1989: First Place – Carl List, Marion, 1979 Dodge Lil’ Red Express; Second Place – Elmer Jung, Gillett, 1986 Ford Bronco.

Class J: Trucks from 1990-Present: First Place – Dennis Johnson, Green Bay, 1999 Chevrolet Silverado 454 SS; Second Place – Beau Brady, Gresham, 2002 Ford F-250 Super Duty Lariat.

Class K: Special Interest Vehicles: First Place – Bill & Mary Schoenike, Shawano, 1948 Ford Pickup; Second Place – Ed Bonnell, Marion, 1951 Ford Police Squad.

Class L: Street Rods: First Place – Dave Vander Zanden, Seymour, 1932 Ford Coupe; Second Place – Jerry Connelly, Kimberly, 1940 Ford Coupe.

Class M: Muscle Cars: First Place – Dan Paters, Hortonville, 1968 Plymouth Road Runner; Second Place – Dan Hedtke, New London, 1973 Ford Mustang.

Class N: Imports: First Place – Baylie Berndt, Clintonville, 1964 Volkswagen Beetle; Second Place – D&B Timm, Cecil, 2001 Porsche Targa.

Class O: Rat Rods: First Place – Mike Peeters, Manitowoc, 1956 Ford F-600; Second Place – Mark Young, Hortonville, 1927 Ford Model T.

Class P: Convertibles: First Place – Ed Short, Shawano, 1923 Ford Model T; Second Place – Eugene Buckarma, New London, 1963 Ford Falcon.

Mayor’s Choice Award: Ed Short, Shawano, 1923 Ford Model T.

Chamber’s Choice Award: Dan & Jodi Kortbein, Clintonville, 1967 Mercury Cougar.

Police Chief’s Choice Award: Timothy Wilz, Manawa, 1971 Dodge 340 Demon.

The 2015 show will be held on Friday, May 15, 2015 from 5 to 9 p.m.
