Clintonville man charged with felony OWI

Jesse J. Rudolph, 27, Clintonville, was charged with his fourth drunken driving offense in five years.

On April 22, Deputies Nick Traeger and Tim Myers responded to a motorcycle crash reported at State Highway 22 and County Road B in Royalton.

When Traeger arrived at the scene, he saw a Rudolph lying on the eastbound lane of State 54, being treated by a first responder.

A second man, who was less severely injured, was beside the road. He said he had been riding behind Rudolph, who had been driving the motorcycle when it flipped over.

According to the criminal complaint, Rudolph was uncooperative with the EMS personnel who were trying to help him. Even though his leg was visibly broken, he refused medical help and kept removing a neck brace.

Rudolph was taken to the hospital. A blood test indicated he had a 0.116 blood-alcohol level. Due to prior drunken driving convictions, Rudolph’s legal limit is 0.02.
