Nancy K. Besaw, age 57, New London, died on Saturday, May 31, 2014, at her residence.
She was born on August 9, 1956, in New London, daughter of Harry and Jeanette (Osterling) Nelson. On May 5, 1973, Nancy was united in marriage to Dale Besaw. She loved gardening, reading, playing games with her family, especially with her two granddaughters, caring for her many cats, fishing, going for walks, snowmobiling with her husband, baking and enjoying the simple things in life. Her most relaxing time of the day was at bedtime when her husband would read stories to her. Nancy was an Avon representative for over 30 years and also worked at Sav-Half Greeting Cards, New London.
She is survived by her husband, Dale; father, Harry Nelson, New London; daughter, Danielle (Josh) Joyce, Sheboygan; son, Derek (Carrie) Besaw, New London; brother, Jeff (Amy) Nelson, Westboro, WI. Nancy is further survived by her grandchildren, Bailey and Evangeline; special friends: Marie, Kim, Barb (who have always been there for Nancy); also Louise who inspired her with multiple cards per week. She was preceded in death by her mother, a sister, Judy Clegg, and her special aunt, Minnie Knight.
Funeral services for Nancy will be held Thursday, June 5, 2014, at 11:00 a.m. at St. John’s Episcopal Church (1513 Pinewood Lane), New London with Fr. Paul Fieder officiating. Visitation will be held at the church on Thursday from 9:00 a.m. until the time of services. Burial will be in the Emanuel Lutheran Cemetery, Town of Lebanon. The family would like to extend a special thank you to Dr. Guenther and his staff, especially, Nancy and Marlene and also ThedaCare Hospice nurses, Paula, Sue and Jessie.
