After having a bye in the first round of the WIAA baseball tournament, Iola-Scandinavia opened postseason play June 4 with a 14-0 five-inning win over Plainfield Tri-County.
Tri-County had defeated Amherst the previous day in a Division 3 regional quarterfinal.
The Thunderbirds’ quest for a regional championship ended June 5, however, as Weyauwega-Fremont defeated I-S 3-0 in a regional final in Iola.
