Waupaca’s Strawberry Fest

Downtown Waupaca will hum with activity during Strawberry Fest Saturday, June 21.

Highlights include Strawberry Lane Café, an art and craft show with 150 vendors, a Strawberry Shortcake Eating Contest at noon, fresh strawberries and strawberry shortcake for sale, carnival rides and live entertainment in the bandstand on city square.

Kid’s Alley in Rotary Riverview Park will host Dizzy D Clown, bounce houses, a petting zoo, Lil’ Strawberry Sally and Sam Costume Contest and Waupaca Walks for Children.

Additional activities include Strawberry Days’ at Turners Fresh Market on State 54 west of Waupaca, Waupaca Historical Society’s open houses at the Holly Center on South Main Street, the Hutchinson House Museum in South Park and the Waupaca Train Depot at the top of a hill just past the Oak Street Bridge on Waupaca’s north side, and the Model Railroad Show in the Waupaca Rec Center.

“We are excited to continue Strawberry Fest into its 26th year as the first taste of summer in our area.”  said Jeff Anderson, vice president of tourism with the Waupaca Area Chamber of Commerce. “This event is one of many that occur throughout the year in the Waupaca Area.”
