Another Waupaca County Fair has ended for the hundreds of young exhibitors who worked hard to prepare their exhibits for judging.
Youth from kindergarten through age 19, members of 4-H, FFA, Scouts, and breed organizations entered projects in animal as well as non-animal classes like photography, woodworking, communications, and plant and soil sciences.
Long before the fair, they spent time planning, organizing, learning, testing and experimenting to make certain their projects were finished.
Each judge shared reasons for choosing the “best” in the class and made suggestions for improvement on other projects. Not only did those entering learn from the judge, but also others watching the judging process picked up pointers.
