An Ashland woman faces felony charges from two separate incidents in Waupaca County.
Amber M. Heggie, 23, is charged with felony child abuse and stalking.
On the night of June 21, Waupaca County Sheriff’s Deputy Jon Loken was dispatched to the New London hospital.
Loken spoke with a 16-year-old girl who said she had been at Huckleberry Acres Campground in Mukwa when she became involved in an altercation with Heggie.
Heggie allegedly punched the girl hard enough to severely injure her neck.
On Aug. 27, Detective Sgt. John Mocadlo spoke with a 27-year-old woman in rural Scandinavia who accused Heggie of threatening her via Facebook. She said she is dating a man who shares children with Heggie.
According to the criminal complaint, Heggie’s Facebook posting said, “we will be seeing each other very soon that’s a promise im your worst nightmare and since you didn’t know what you were getting into ill give you an option fist. Bat. Bullet. Foot. To the face which one you want cant choose ill choose for you and I take the easy way and the police don’t scare me.”
Heggie was arrested and charged on Aug. 28. She was released from custody on a $5,000 signature bond.
