The Hortonville Polar Bear girls golf team set a new school record for an 18-hole tournament on Tuesday, Sept. 23, while competing at the Terror Invite at Winagamie Golf Course.
Abbey Karns, Chloe Crusan, Ashton Nelson, Abby Nelson, and Bree Downie combined for a total score of 357, earning a sixth place finish out of 22 teams in the process.
Crusan led the team with an 83, while Ashton Nelson carded an 89. Abby Nelson shot a 90, and Abbey Karns tallied a 95. Bree Downie carded a 99 to round out the scoring for Hortonville.
Crusan finished eighth among all golfers, while Ashton Nelson took 25th. Abby Nelson placed 31st, Karns took 46th, and Downie placed 55th. A total of 105 golfers competed at the event.
