Traffic

• Sept. 24 – Two people were injured in a two-vehicle accident at about 10 a.m. in the town of Bear Creek.

Ariel Holden, 19, of Weyauwega, was driving northbound on U.S. Highway 45 when she pulled into a driveway to perform a u-turn. After stopping, the vehicle pulled forward and stopped again.

Dwight Linderen, 61, of Shiocton, was driving northbound on U.S. 45 when he saw the stopped vehicle. Linderen told police he believed the other vehicle would remain stopped.

The Holden vehicle pulled out into the northbound lane in front of the Linderen vehicle, which tried to swerve to avoid a collision. The Linderen vehicle hit the Holden vehicle, which spun and collided again with the Linderen vehicle.

A trailer being towed by Linderen spun around and rolled on its side. Both vehicles came to rest in the east ditch near Bear Creek Road.

Holden and her passenger, Samantha Pauloski, 19, of Iola, were transported to the hospital with injuries.

There were no serious injuries to the three occupants of the Linderen vehicle.
