Schultz-Hofman, June J.

June J. Schultz-Hofman, age 94, of Horicon (formerly of Clintonville and Marion) passed away Sunday, October 19, 2014 at Marvin’s Manor Assisted Living, Horicon. 

The former June Janet Ehlert was born April 12, 1920 in Marion, Wisconsin, to Rudolph and Marie (Pockat) Ehlert. After high school June went on to UW Stevens Point where she received her Bachelors in Education. She was united in marriage on November 21, 1942 to Carl W. Schultz at the United Methodist Church, Clintonville. June started her teaching career in a local one room school house and always taught elementary school. She taught kindergarten at Rexford-Longfellow Elementary in the Clintonville School District for 25 years, retiring in 1979. The couple moved from Clintonville to Marion in 1992 and her husband preceded her in death on November 21, 1995. On August 20, 2005 she married Warren G. Hofman at the United Methodist Church, Clintonville, and the couple settled in Horicon, Wisconsin. June was a lifelong member of the United Methodist Church, Clintonville, where she sang in the church choir and served with countless projects of the United Methodist Women. She is also a Life Member and Past Matron of the Order of the Eastern Star, Clintonville. June volunteered at the Marion Elementary School and will be remembered most as an avid reader. While in Horicon she continued to help others by volunteering with a local hospice. June also appreciated music, played the piano beautifully, and had a contagious smile that she shared with everyone around her. 

Survivors include: her husband, Warren; a daughter, Mary (Ray) Bilodeau of Orlando, FL, and four stepchildren, Sharon (Kent) Plautz of Green Bay, Maggie (Steve) Hull of Illinois, David (Dawn) Hofman of Beaver Dam, and Steve (Connie) Hofman of Horicon. There are two granddaughters, Kelsey (John) Bettridge of Baltimore, MD, and Megan Gray of Battle Ground, IN. She is further survived by step-grandchildren, many other relatives and friends. June is preceded in death by her parents; her first husband, Carl; two sisters, Nadlie (Paul) Wiese and Wanda (Roy) Weber. 

A Funeral Service was held on Wednesday, October 22nd at 11:00 a.m. at the Beil-Didier Funeral Home, Clintonville. Rev. Keith Wolf officiated and burial followed at Graceland Cemetery, Clintonville.
