Walter “Wally” A. Zimmermann, age 75, of Iola, passed away at home on Wednesday, November 5, 2014.
He was born in Wisconsin on November 1, 1939, the son of Walter E. and Amelia (Schmidt) Zimmermann. He was united in marriage to Patricia Lucchesi. Wally was an avid hunter; he also enjoyed fishing and woodcarving. Wally will be dearly missed by his wife, Pat; children: Denise (Mike), Brian (Colleen) and Mike (Annie); grandchildren: Tony, Andy, Molly and Ellie; sister, Joan (Al); sister-in-law, Mary; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Richard.
A celebration of life will be held at 11 a.m., Saturday, November 15, 2014 at Scandinavia Lutheran Church; Pastor Mark Sabin will officiate. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be designated to Scandinavia Lutheran Church or the American Cancer Society in Wally’s name. The Maple Crest Funeral Home of Waupaca assisted the family with arrangements.
