More charges filed against Bauer

For the third time in two months, an Ogdensburg man with a pending drunken driving case has been arrested for operating a vehicle after his license was revoked.

Caleb P. Bauer, 31, was charged Nov. 12 with operating a vehicle with a controlled substance in his blood, operating after revocation of his license, possession of drug paraphernalia and two counts of felony bail jumping.

On Feb. 24, Bauer was charged in Waupaca County Circuit Court with a fourth drunken driving offense. He was released on a $2,000 signature bond with the condition that he not operate a motor vehicle.

On Sept. 10, Bauer was charged with operating after revocation and felony bail jumping and released on a $2,000 signature bond.

On Oct. 27, Bauer was charged with OAR and two counts of felony bail jumping. He failed to make a Nov. 3 court hearing, and a warrant was issued for his arrest.

On the evening of Tuesday, Nov. 11, Sgt. Mario Graceffa, with the Waupaca Police Department, saw Bauer’s vehicle on Mill Street and pulled it over. Graceffa identified the driver as Bauer and noticed the aroma of burnt marijuana. He reported finding a warm pot pipe under the driver’s seat.

At Bauer’s initial court appearance on Nov. 12, Judge Philip Kirk set a $5,000 cash bond as a condition of his release from custody.
