Mayor returns from medical leave

Clintonville Mayor Judy Magee has reassumed the mayoral duties.

On medical leave since Oct. 1, Magee sent a press release to members of the media on Thursday, Nov. 27. 

“This news release is to inform the city council, city officials and employees, the citizens and media that as of today I am returning to my position as Mayor for the City of Clintonville,” the release says.

In the press release, Magee also thanked acting Mayor Jeannie Schley. 

“I would like to first thank Jeannie Schley, council president, for her accomplishments as acting Mayor during my absence. She did a fantastic job and I truly appreciate her dedication to the community,” Magee stated in the release.

She also stated that she hoped the community could now move forward. 

“I am hopeful that the city will continue to make positive strides forward. I look forward to working with interim City Administrator Chuck Kell. I appreciate all the hard work that the Finance Committee Chair Mark Doornink, the Finance Committee members, city council and staff did to adopt the 2015 budget. I know that the task of working through the process was not an easy one. I am hopeful that with the New Year approaching that we will look forward and not back as city officials. I appreciate the understanding of the citizens,” Magee stated in the press release.
