Truckers stopped by FVL

The Clintonville Truckers girls’ basketball team were gracious hosts, Monday, Dec. 15, as they fell to Fox Valley Lutheran 55-27.

Fox Valley Lutheran jumped out to the quick lead, taking a 14-8 lead by the conclusion of the first quarter.

It was more of the same in the second quarter. Fox Valley Lutheran scored 17 points in quarter, while Clintonville scored only six points.

Fox Valley Lutheran scored 12 points in the third quarter as well as the fourth quarter. The Truckers scored five and eight points, respectively in each of those quarters.

The Truckers shot 6 of 27 from the floor. That included just 2 of 10 from beyond the three point line. The team made 9 of 15 free throws.

Other team stats included: 24 rebounds, 10 steals, three blocks and two assists.

Autumn Voigt led the team with seven points. Marietta Sorenson, Olivia Wagenson, and Chrissy Betz each scored four points. Ali Johnson and Danielle Kiefer each chipped in with three points, while Caitlin Carpenter scored two points.
