Bulldogs crush Blue Jays, 50-25

The Bulldogs never looked back after building a nine-point lead in the first quarter of their game against the Menasha Blue Jays on Tuesday, Jan. 20.

By the end of the night, the Bulldogs had secured a 50-25 win.

New London led 14-5 after one quarter and 22-12 at halftime.

The Bulldogs came out of the break on fire, outscoring Menasha 18-7 in the third quarter to blow the game open.

New London finished the game by earning a 10-6 scoring advantage in the fourth quarter, preserving a 25-point win.

Leah Porath score 16 points to lead New London. Payton Mix added 14, while Maddie Schroeder and Alycia Halvorson both netted five. Macy Madsen tallied four points, and Josie Hintzke, Olivia Steingraber and Cassidy Pethke each scored two.

New London’s defense and full-court pressure frustrated the Blue Jays, leading to several turnovers. No Menasha scorers reached double digits in the contest.

The Bulldogs now sport an 8-2 record in the Bay Conference, trailing only West De Pere (7-1) and Seymour (8-1).
