New London will be bustling with indoor and outdoor activities on Saturday, Feb. 21.

Outdoor fun

The Fox Valley Driving Horse Association is hosting old-fashioned horse drawn sleigh rides from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. in Hatten Park Saturday, Feb.19.

There is no charge for the event. Participants are asked to bring one non-perishable food item per person to help stock the shelves of the local food pantry. Donations are also being accepted for the pantry.

Complimentary coffee, hot cocoa and warm apple cider will be served. For more information, contact Dean Peterson at 920-840-7018.

Waters Fisheree

The Waters is hosting their seventh annual Ice Fisheree from 6 a.m. to noon on Saturday. Two-person teams will fish from the Shawano Street Bridge to the high line crossing at Riverside Park to compete for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place prize money for the biggest and longest stringer of walleye. Cost is $20 per team, with 100 percent payout.

Food will be provided for participants. Contestants and spectators alike will have a chance at numerous raffles and prizes throughout the day.
