Trucker wrestlers honored at banquet

The Clintonville High School wrestling team ended their season with a banquet on Monday, March 2. The season was filled with ups and downs including one of the best conference finishes in the past couple seasons, as the Truckers finished with a 3-4 dual record this season.

Earning varsity letters this year were Cole Cotherman (19-14), Tim Jerabek (28-13), Shayne Collar (14-10) and Chase Jung (16-14).

Jerabek, a senior, earned the Most Dedicated, Most Improved, Team Leadership, Cat and Mouse, and Pin to Win Awards. Junior Cole Cotherman also earned the Most Dedicated Award. Jerabek earned second team All-Conference honors, while Cotherman earned third team All-Conference recognition.

Freshman Jason Bilek earned Rookie of the Year Award.

“The Trucker wrestling program will miss their two seniors, Tim Jerabek and Shayne Collar,” said Coach Justin Mc Auly. “The two seniors compiled 109 career wins, 140 career takedowns and 57 career pins. We will miss their presence in the practice room and during competition.”

Jerabek plans on continuing his wrestling career at Concordia University Wisconsin.
