Donna Mae Purchatzke, age 85, of Waupaca, formerly of Weyauwega, went to her heavenly home on Wednesday, March 25, 2015 at her residence at Park Vista in Waupaca.
She was born on November 14, 1929 in Iola, daughter of the late Osmund and Hilda Peterson. She graduated from Iola High School in 1948. She went to Beauty School in Milwaukee and graduated from there in 1949. She worked in that profession in Weyauwega for 52 years. She owned and operated the Charm Beauty Shop in Weyauwega for 25 years. On August 3, 1952, she was united in marriage to Willard F. Purchatzke in Wisconsin Dells. He preceded her in death on September 16, 2010. They lived in Weyauwega for all her married life, moving to Waupaca in 2008. Donna loved her grandchildren and enjoyed doing things with them, especially baking cookies. She was a member of St. Peter Ev. Lutheran Church in Weyauwega.
She is survived by her children, Scott (Becky) Purchatzke and Joy (Tim) Neuville; grandchildren: Michael (Bridget) Purchatzke, Matthew Purchatzke, Eric (Liora) Neuville and Lindsay Neuville; sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law: Beverly (George) Hayes, Bryan (Arlys) Purchatzke and Vernon (Shirley) Purchatzke. She is further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Besides her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by her brother, Elroy Peterson.
The Christian Funeral for Donna will be held on Saturday, March 28, 2015 at 11:00 a.m. at St. Peter Ev. Lutheran Church in Weyauwega with Rev. Dennis Lemke and Rev. Newlin Schafer officiating. Burial will be in Oakwood Cemetery in Weyauwega. A visitation for Donna will be held directly at the church on Saturday from 9:00 a.m. until the time of the service. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to St. Peter Ev. Lutheran Church. The Cline-Hanson-Dahlke Funeral Home in Weyauwega is serving the family.
