Meet this year’s BookFest authors

Born and raised in North Dakota, he is a poet, short story writer and novelist. His books include “Montana 1948,” “American Boy,” “Orchard,” “In a Dark Time,” “White Crosses,” “Laura” and his latest, “Let Him Go.” He has taught writing and literature at the University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point and Marquette University. He lives in Milwaukee with his wife.

Schedule of events

Friday, April 17

4-5:30 p.m. – Stan Tekiela, Meeting Rooms A & B.

7-8:30 p.m. – The author’s reception will be held at Little Fat Gretchen’s Café, The Bookcellar and Dragonwings bookstore, 108-110 S. Main Street, (across from the Waupaca Area Public Library). The cost for the event is $10. Tickets are available in advance at the Waupaca Area Public Library and at The Bookcellar, as well as at the door on the night of the event, if the reception is not sold out. Little Fat Gretchen’s will provide a selection of dessert bars and coffee. Wine, beer and pies will also be available for purchase.

Saturday, April 18

9:30-11:30 a.m. – Wisconsin Authors Panel, Council Chambers. This panel will feature Bill Berry, Christine DeSmet, Victoria Houston and Dean Jensen, with Jim Trainor as the moderator.

10-10:55 a.m. – Derek Anderson, Meeting Rooms A & B.

1-1:55 p.m. – Nickolas Butler, Meeting Rooms A & B.

1-1:55 p.m. – S.J. Kincaid, Council Chambers.

2-2:55 p.m. – Larry Watson, Meeting Rooms A & B.

2-2:55 p.m. – Mike Mullin, Council Chambers.
