New London wins tight game against Seymour

The New London High School baseball team hosted Seymour Thursday, April 23 and came away with a 2-1 victory.

Both teams were evenly matched, offensively and on the pitching mound.

The Bulldogs mustered only six hits, but were able to push two runs across the plate. Seymour had eight hits, and had five batters reach via walks, but scored only one run.

The game was scoreless until the bottom of the third inning when the Bulldogs scored one run. Seymour matched that run in the top of the next inning, only to have the Bulldogs score another run in the bottom of the inning. That was all the scoring in the game.
