Prepare to be dosed in color during the Color Burst 5K race on Friday, June 19.
“Just show up wearing white and we will do the rest,” said Cheryl Ziemann of the Iola-Scandinavia Community Fitness & Aquatic Center, which sponsors the event.
The race is at 7 p.m. with registration beginning at 6 p.m. at the Iola Old Car Show Activity Center on the Iola Car Show Grounds.
Anyone who preregisters by June 1 will receive a t-shirt.
Preregistration is $25 for adults, $15 for students, and $55 for a family of four. The cost increases by $5 after April 30.
All proceeds will benefit the ISCFAC.
The pre-race fun includes face painting and glow sticks.
The course will close at 9 p.m.
No dogs are allowed; strollers are welcome.
The post-race party will be at Silver Lake Lanes in Scandinavia with drink specials, music and one free game of bowling for children.
