Transforming books into art

People will get a chance to make their own altered book on Saturday, May 2, at the Waupaca Area Public Library’s MakerSpace.

All ages are welcome to make one of several choices of altered book: an art journal, a folded book or book-page flowers.

The program, which is a joint event with the library’s Book-to-Art Club, will take place in the lower-level meeting rooms from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.

All supplies will be provided, along with instructions for each project.

This program is held in conjunction with the exhibit room’s current exhibit, “Altered Books,” which is open to the public during library hours.

For more information on the exhibit, visit www.waupacalibrary.org/exhibit-room or contact Tracy Behrendt, exhibit room coordinator, at 715-258-4417.
