Durrant faces more drug charges

The Waupaca woman charged with drug trafficking, delivery of heroin and reckless endangerment in April, now faces felony meth charges.

Brittany K. Durrant, 27, is charged with possession of methamphetamine and possession of drug paraphernalia.

On the evening of Feb. 3, Waupaca Police officers Brent Krueger and Wesley Zube were dispatched to the 100 block of North State Street after an anonymous caller reported that Durrant and others were smoking meth in her apartment with children present.

The officers encountered Durrant at the door to her apartment. She denied using meth, and agreed to allow them to look around her apartment, according to the criminal complaint.

Krueger reported finding a purple box in the bedroom. In the box was a plastic bag with a finely ground white crystal and razor blades.

Durrant reportedly said she had forgotten the meth was there.

Police also seized a paper bag with 26 syringes, a rubber tie, two small caps and a bag of cotton balls in the bedroom.
