Foundations For Living launches capital campaign in Waupaca

Foundations For Living, a non-profit ministry committed to helping the homeless, is launching a capital campaign to raise the funds to purchase the building at 1421 Churchill St. in Waupaca.

Foundations For Living has provided transitional living housing for over 50 men and women since 2012.

The group plan to extend their services to the homeless by opening a warming center at this location from October 2015 through April 2016. The center will provide overnight shelter for adult men and women.

“It’s important to the sustainability of the program and the warming center to be able to purchase this building,” said Mary Gengler, board president. “In addition to the warming center and FFL offices, this building also houses the Community Clothes Closet, a veterans assistance program, Salvation Army, and St. Vincent de Paul.”

Gengler said the conference room is also used for AA meetings and Freedom LifeSkills classes.

“We have received a $15,000 matching fund challenge that will make every dollar donated during this campaign doubled.” said Robin Madson, executive director.

Donations may be made by cash, check, credit card, or securities. Checks should be made out to Foundations for Living with capital campaign written in the memo to assure the donation is doubled.

Donations can be made in person at 1421 Churchill St., by mail at P.O. Box 564 Waupaca or online at www.foundationsforlivingwaupaca.com.
