When the Clintonville City Council came out of closed session at a special meeting April 28, Mayor Judy Magee announced that the city would continue to search for a city administrator.

She also announced that interim City Administrator Chuck Kell had agreed to continue working for the city on an interim basis.

Discussions took place at Clintonville City Hall, Tuesday, Sept. 23, as to what to do now that the city of Clintonville no longer has a city administrator.
Discussions took place at Clintonville City Hall about recruiting a new city administrator.

The Clintonville Tribune-Gazette recently contacted Kell to see where the city stands in its search for a permanent city administrator.

“Basically the council was not satisfied with the applicants that we had available for them to consider,” Kell said. “So they decided not to interview any of the applicants at this time.”

Kell said the city had received seven applications for the position, but one withdrew their name because they took a different job.

Kell added that the council has asked him to start a new recruitment process in six months.
