Bellile graduated from New London High School in 2011. After high school he attended UW Oshkosh.

“I decided to study journalism prior to high school graduation in 2011 when I realized that my brain unfortunately was not wired for the work force’s in-demand science and mathematics skills. I did know I loved reading, writing and following the news, so I decided that journalism would be a great way to apply these skills. I declared my journalism major before arriving to UW Oshkosh,” Bellile said.

While attending college, from 2013 to 2015 Bellile worked at the UW Oshkosh Advance-Titan student newspaper as a news reporter, cartoonist and news editor. Over the summer of 2014 he reported and photographed at The Campbellsport News near Fond du Lac as part of the Wisconsin Newspaper Association’s summer internship program.

He graduated from UW Oshkosh on May 16 with a major in journalism with emphases in writing/editing and public relations. He minored in linguistics.

Bellile said he is happy to have secured a job with the Tribune-Gazette and New London Press-Star.

“As a New London native the Press-Star has been delivered to my mailbox since I was young,” he said. “When I was in grade school I would eagerly flip open the paper to see my picture with Parkview Elementary’s ‘Students of the Week.’ My senior year of high school I came home from my cross country meets and wrote articles recapping the event for the County Post East (now the Press-Star). I’m proud to be joining New London’s quality newspaper at a time that it continues to grow.”

With the Tribune-Gazette, Bellile will be responsible for sports coverage in Clintonville, Hortonville and New London. In addition, he will cover city news in Hortonville and New London for the Press-Star. He said he also hopes to increase local coverage of the arts.

“I look forward to helping the staff increase the amount of coverage of city government, schools, athletics and community events. New London, Hortonville and Clintonville have much going on, and the more journalists that can bring the news to readers, the better.”
