Results from the WIAA State Track & Field Meet in La Crosse

More than 40 local athletes competed June 5-6 at the WIAA State Track & Field Meet in La Crosse.
State champions included Clintonville’s Allison Johnson in the girls’ Division 2 800-meter run; Marion’s Cassidy Detert in the girls’ Division 3 shot put; Wild Rose’s Breanne Marchan in the girls’ Division 3 high jump; and the Wild Rose girls’ 400-meter relay team of Ashley Caswell, Noelle Rasmussen, Johanna Shepard and Marchan.

Boys
Division 1
400-meter dash: Cody Lohrenz, Hortonville, 18th, 50:84 (preliminaries, did not make finals).
Division 2
Long jump: Josh Cisewski, Amherst, second, 22 feet, 1 inch.
Shot put: Andy Trzebiatowski, Amherst, 11th, 48 feet, 4 3/4 inches.
Discus: Andy Trzebiatowski, Amherst, 12th, 142 feet, 8 inches.
800-meter relay: Waupaca (Travis Heschke, Brogan Kendziora, Brandon Anderson, Nic Joch, 14th, 1:32.56 (preliminaries, did not make finals).
Pole vault: Skyler Lehman, Clintonville, no height.
Team scores: Amherst, tied with Ripon, Fox Valley Lutheran, Mount Horeb, Omro, Elk Mound, Brillion and Sheboygan Falls for 28th, 8 points.
Division 3
