U.S. 10, U.S. 45 bridge work planned

Motorists can expect lane, ramp closures
Maintenance on multiple bridges along U.S. Highway 10 and U.S. 45 in Waupaca County is scheduled to begin Monday, June 22.

Improvements will be made to 28 bridges on U.S. 10 between Marten Road, east of Fremont, and County Trunk Q in Waupaca.

Work is also scheduled for eight bridges on U.S. 45 between State Highway 96 east of Readfield and County Trunk D in New London.

Traffic impacts
From 9 a.m. Monday, June 22, until midnight Wednesday, June 24, construction crews will close U.S. 45 between State 15/County T and County D in New London.

The on and off ramps at the interchange at U.S. 45 and State 54 will be closed and there will be no access to/from U.S. 45 to/from Spurr Road in New London. Spurr Road will be open for motorists to cross U.S. 45.

During this stage, U.S. 45 traffic will be detoured via County T and County D in New London.

From June 22 to June 26, motorists can expect single-lane closures with flagging operations on U.S. 45 between State 96 and State 15.

From June 29 to July 10, single-lane closures on U.S. 10 between Marten Road and County Q are planned, as are single-lane closures on the northbound State 22 bridge over U.S. 10.

Crews are planning to close Churchill Street over U.S. 10 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Tuesday and Wednesday, June 30 and July 1.

All work is scheduled for completion by the end of July. The schedule is subject to change based on weather conditions and construction status.

Truesdell Corporation of Wisconsin Inc. is the contractor for the $370,000 project. The project will be paid for with federal and state funds.
