City radio station now on air

The city of Waupaca’s Low Power FM radio station signed on Thursday, June 18.

The station, 96.3FM WILW, joins Win-TV in the city’s Community Media Department.

For the first few weeks, 96.3FM will broadcast music 24/7 as technical and programming work are completed with a mid-July regular program schedule debut to be planned.

The city of Waupaca joins a handful of city government operated radio stations in Wisconsin, with nearby examples including the cities of Oshkosh and Stevens Point.
