AMHERST – Neidert picked up the win on the mound for Waupaca and also had two hits, while Brandon Canterbury also had two hits.

Waupaca returned to Fox River Valley American Legion Baseball League play this week with doubleheaders against Kaukauna and Bay Port and a game against Menasha.

“This week will be a big test for our guys,” coach Kyle Douglas said. “Some of the guys that didn’t get a lot of innings this spring will be asked to take the mound against quality teams. Execution will be the key against these three teams in these five games.

“It’ll be a test, that’s for sure,” he said. “We could go 5-0 or we could go 0-5.”
