What a wishy-washy federal government we have, recently featuring the Supreme Court.
One time they ruled that Obamacare is legal and it is not the people’s right to refuse to purchase health insurance. Hence, the government can and will make you buy it.
Then they ruled that the government “cannot trample on the rights of the people” and gays and lesbians can marry anywhere in the United States in spite of state’s rights and laws in most states existing against it.
What is next for this court. A good possibility is that they could rule on the churches’ right to refuse to marry gay or lesbian couples. The threat to the church will be “marry them or lose tax-free status.” I would not bet even a nickel as to the outcome of such a vote.
