Truck, car crash in Waupaca

Vehicle crushed after colliding with dairy truck

One person suffered minor injuries in a two-vehicle crash shortly before noon Thursday, July 23.

Waupaca police were called out to West Fulton Street at County Trunk QQ where they found no one was trapped and there were no serious injuries.

Officers determined that the four-door Honda sedan driven by Matthew Ellie, 21, of Waupaca, turned left from westbound Fulton Street onto southbound County QQ into the path of a milk truck driven by Jonathan Dorsett, 22, Pine River.

A 19-year-old passenger in Ellie’s vehicle was transported to RMC and released with minor injuries.

All those involved in the crash were wearing seatbelts at the time of the accident.

Ellie was cited for failing to yield the right of way while making a left turn.
