Schilling installed at Emmaus Lutheran

Weyauwega congregation celebrates new pastor

Emmaus Lutheran Church celebrated the installation of Rev. Kurt Schilling as its new pastor on Sunday, July 26.

Rev. Bob Selle and Dwayne Lueck, the North Wisconsin District president, participated in the installation during the church’s 10 a.m. worship service.

After the service, the congregation celebrated with an outdoor luncheon on the church property.

Schilling is the former pastor of Redeemer Lutheran Church in Denver.

A native of Wisconsin, he recently moved back to the state after living in Illinois, Indiana and Colorado for the past 29 years.

He is excited about the opportunity to get to know the people of Emmaus and the community.

“It’s great to be back in Wisconsin building new friendship in my home state. I am very thankful and blessed to be living among such wonderful people and look forward to serving the people of this community,” Schilling said. “It is my hope that all people, whether regular attenders, or just curious about the faith, will feel welcomed and blessed at Emmaus. God knows no strangers, and I will strive to follow His example.”

The church worship’s service is at 10 a.m. every Sunday.
