Jean Virginia Flunker, age 82, entered eternal life on Wednesday, July 8, 2015.
She was born Saturday, September 10, 1932 in Oshkosh and married Bernhardt (Ben) Flunker on Tuesday, May 16, 1950 at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church, Fremont. Jean lived most of her life in Fremont, but for the last several years enjoyed the warmth and sunshine of Florida.
Jean’s legacy will carry on through her three children, Mary Adiloff, David (RaeJean) Flunker, and Lyle (Jeanne) Flunker; six grandchildren, Heather (Chris) Landreman, Amy Flunker, Sonya Samuelson, Angela (Luke) Holcomb, James Flunker, and Mindy (Micah) Trice; and four great-grandchildren, Caleb, Jack, Monica, and Athena. She will also be missed by many relatives and friends, including her cat, Angel. Jean was preceded in death by her husband, Ben; parents, William and Verna, and a brother, Frank.
A memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m., Monday, August 17, 2015 at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church, Fremont with visitation from 10:00 a.m. until time of service. Interment following service at St. Paul’s Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, contributions should be made in Jean’s honor to the Alzheimer’s Association or American Heart Association. The Lewin Funeral Home, Fremont is assisting the family with arrangements.
