Funeral services for Jean Warax, 80 year old Buffalo resident who passed away early Sunday morning at her home will be held Saturday August 22nd at 2:00 p.m. from the Harness Funeral Home Chapel in Buffalo, Wyoming with Pastor Tom Saur officiating.
Visitation will be held from the Harness Funeral Home on Friday from 1:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. and on Saturday from 10:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. Interment will be in Willow Grove Cemetery with graveside services to follow the funeral. Donations in Mrs. Warax’s memory may be made to the American Cancer Society in care of the Harness Funeral Home at 351 N. Adams in Buffalo, WY 82834. Jean Marie Warax was born on April 27, 1935 in Monico, Wisconsin to Edward and Ella Lay. She grew up and received her education in Monico and graduated from Monico High School in 1953. She was married to Bert Warax on April 19, 1958 in Rhinelander, Wisconsin, and they made their home in Waupaca, Wisconsin where she worked as a bookkeeper for the bank. In 1997 they moved to Buffalo, Wyoming where she worked as a bank teller. She retired in 2012 and remained in Buffalo until the time of her death.
Jean loved camping, fishing, 4-wheeling and Bingo at the V.F.W.
She is survived by three sons, Thomas Warax and his wife Jennifer of Buffalo, Wyoming; Robert Warax and his wife Leslie of Rapid City, South Dakota; and David Warax and his wife Jeane also of Buffalo; one sister, Nina Reinke of Rhinelander, Wisconsin; seven grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, and two brothers.
