Woman injured in King

The Waupaca County Sheriff’s Department is investigating the hit and run of a 23-year-old rural Waupaca woman that occurred around 8:37 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 19 on King Road, in the town of Farmington.
The woman and another rural Waupaca woman, who is 24, were walking eastbound on King Road when a vehicle struck the 23 year old from behind and then continued eastbound on King Road.
It happened across from E1864 King Road, near Woodland Drive.
The 23 year old was transported via ambulance to ThedaCare Medical Center-Waupaca and was later transported to Theda Clark Medical Center, in Neenah.
Vehicle parts recovered at the scene show the vehicle is maroon in color and possibly a Dodge Town and Country or other minivan or SUV with front end passenger damage.
The sheriff’s department is withholding the names of the women at this time.
