Bessette, Tavis A.

Tavis A. Bessette, age 40, of Manawa (formerly of the Clintonville area) died unexpectedly on Sunday, August 23, 2015 at his home.

Tavis Adam Bessette was born on July 20, 1975 in New London to Charles and Linda (Jepson) Bessette. He attended Clintonville High School and lived most of his life in the area. Tavis was united in marriage on February 14, 2012 to Sandra “Sam” Jaeger at the Waupaca County Courthouse. He worked at several different odd jobs over the years, but for some time Tavis made steel rebar at Potter Form & Tie Co., Appleton, and he also was employed at Marion Plywood. His interests included working on old cars, buying scratch off lottery tickets, winning on the slot machines, and playing cards, especially sheeps-head.

Survivors include his wife, Sam; his father, Charles (Sally) Bessette of Bear Creek and mother, Linda (special friend, Guy Shadduck) Bear Creek. There is one daughter, Alecia Bessette of Clintonville and one step-daughter, Tabitha Mackowiak of Shawano. There is one sister, Menessa (Thomas) Pues of Clintonville, and three brothers, Charles (Tina) Bessette of Clintonville, David (Rebecca) Bessette of Shawano, and Jimmy (Rachel) Bessette of Green Bay. There are two half-sisters, Dawn (Rueben) Rodriguez of Neenah and Amy Bessette of Bear Creek. Tavis has three special friends, Todd Noak Jr., Brandon “Bucky” Fredrick, and Joe Larson. He is further survived by sisters and brothers-in-law, many other relatives and friends. Tavis is preceded in death by a son, Alexander, his paternal and maternal grandparents, many aunts, uncles and cousins.

A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, August 29th at 11:00 a.m. at the First Baptist Church, 15 5th Street, Clintonville with Rev. Daniel Casper officiating. Friends may call on Saturday from 10:00 a.m. until time of service at the church. The Beil-Didier Funeral Home, Clintonville, is assisting the family.
