Traffic
• Aug. 18 – A teenager was injured in a one-vehicle accident at about 8:30 a.m. in the town of Helvetia.
Brennya Lunde, 16, of Manawa, was driving eastbound on State Highway 161 near Nettzler Road when her car entered the ditch.
The vehicle crashed into a tree and came to rest facing east.
Lunde suffered non-incapacitating injuries.
• Aug. 12 – A woman was injured in a two-vehicle accident at about 10:30 p.m. in the town of Mukwa.
Serena Schulke, 36, of New London, was operating a vehicle westbound of State Highway 54 when she slowed down to turn south onto Broadway Street.
Carlo Benitez, 30, of Oshkosh, was operating a truck westbound on State 54 when he said he looked down for a moment. When he looked back up, he saw the Schulke vehicle braking to turn left.
The front end of the Benitez vehicle collided with the rear of the Schulke vehicle, pushing it forward through the intersection.
The Schulke vehicle came to rest in the eastbound lane facing westbound. The Benitez vehicle came to rest in the westbound land facing westbound.
Schulke was transported to the hospital for possible injuries.
