Traffic
• Aug. 17– A man was injured in a one-vehicle accident at about midnight in the town of Lebanon.
Leslie Burgess, 47, of New London, was driving northbound on U.S. Highway 45 just north of Davis Road.
While negotiating a curve, the vehicle crossed the centerline and went into the southbound lane. The driver’s side tires hit the west shoulder.
Burgess attempted to correct and the vehicle went toward the centerline before overcorrecting.
The vehicle entered the west ditch sideways and collided with a utility pole. It came to rest facing in a new direction on its wheels.
